Resilience is a measure of a community's or a society's ability to adapt to sudden changes in ecological or social circumstances, while still retaining its social and material functions.
Hundreds of us have been generously sharing their experiences and intuition on Edgeryders. Together, we generated a massive amount of data on the transition of youth to an independent adult life: hundreds of mission reports and user profiles, thousands of comments.
We look at Living together because understanding how to build healthy relationships with other people and with ourselves is core to our well being as individuals, groups, communities and societies.
Education systems fail to deliver on their promise. Having educated citizens is a necessity for any thriving society: education creates human capital needed for social and economic development and for a long time policy-makers saw investment in education as an effective way to reduce inequality.
Young people everywhere tend to reject institutional politics: traditional mobilization, in the form of voting or party membership is increasingly unpopular and questions the meaning of representative democracy [Wattenberg 2008].
Young people across Europe face high risks of unemployment, precarious and menial jobs and social exclusion, despite vast public programmes designed to solve these problems.
Hi There! A campaign is a theme that we are exploring together in order to focus our attention towards understanding and collecting strategies for managing, common life-challenges.
